Dialetto
Editorial design, typography, photography — 2018
The city of Rome possesses a constant aura of laziness permeating every aspect of the city, even the local dialect itself. More specifically, Italian linguistics doesn't consider romanesco as a proper dialect, but as an overly casual way of speaking the Italian language. As if the slow rhythm of this city defines the way its citizens speak.
With this self-produced fanzine I wanted to point out the connection between the dialect of Rome and the amazingly genuine visual language of vernacular graphic design, embracing the core of this dialect as a visual practice.
